The SFUG can be used only in the PGP-16 subrack.

A subrack is a mandatory device and houses UGW9811 boards, including the Switching Route Units (RUs), Switching Fabric Units (SFUs), Service Processing Units (SPUs), and Line Processing Units (LPUs).
The UGW9811 supports PGP-16, PGP-X8, and PGP-X16 subracks

The Switch Fabric Unit (SFU) on the PGP-16 switches data for the entire system. This ensures a non-blocked switching network.

The PGP-16 has four SFUGs working in 3+1 load balancing mode.

The four SFUGs process services in load sharing mode. If an SFUG is faulty or replaced, the other three SFUGs automatically take over the services on the SFUG, ensuring that the services are not interrupted.
