A subrack is a mandatory device and houses UGW9811 boards, including the Switching Route Units (SRUs), Switching Fabric Units (SFUs), Service Processing Units (SPUs), and Line Processing Units (LPUs).

100Base-FX/1000Base-X-SFP Optical Interface LPU provides the following functions:

• Provides GE optical interfaces through the GE optical module.

• Provides FE optical interfaces through the FE optical module.

• Provides 10M/100M/1000M auto-sensing electrical interfaces through the electrical module.

• Supports intermixing of all modules.

• If no ma-defend policy is configured, users can access O&M services through physical interfaces.

  24-port 100Base-FX/1000Base-X-SFP optical interface LPU has 24 interfaces that are used to receive and send 100 or 1000 Mbit/s Ethernet signals, the signal type is depended on the optical or electrical module on the interface. The interface number ranges from 0 to 23 from left to right and from top to bottom.

• 24-port 100Base-FX/1000Base-X-SFP Optical Interface LPU is used on the PGP-8 or PGP-16 subracks.
